How can I support someone living with migraine?

Support from family and friends can be valuable for an individual living with migraine. In order to help in understanding how to provide the support they need:

  • Understand that migraine is a condition that can affect your work and personal life
  • Discuss with them the different triggers, such as certain smells or foods that impact them. You may even be able to help them in identifying triggers that they were not aware of

Join in activities that help them to live well with migraine:

→ Take a short walk together every day

→ Discover new hobbies

For an insight into what someone living with migraine is going through, you can read Jenna Humphries’ or Valerie Barogiannis’ story on the Lundbeck website

What to do if you need help now

If someone's life is at risk and it's an emergency, you should call 999 or go straight to A&E.
